  A community of academics and college administrators who would like to network with their counterparts in other pasrts of the world. For example an agricultural scholar in Japan or Malaysia who wants to do a collaborative study with a researcher in South Africa or Brazil can use this platform to establish contacts.

  A community of host families and prospective students. Most international universities encourage the community in a college town to play as "hosts" for incoming international students. This is an enriching experience for the hosts and guests and has in many instances helped smoothen the transitional phase for international students. The message board is intended to help both students and host families establish contacts.

  A community of alumni from international universities. The message board is intended to help universities and graduates establish alumni association chapters in different locations around the world. For example Egyptian graduates from Virginia Tech could use this platform to establish a VA Tech alumni association chapter in Egypt.
