What is your GPA, and where did you complete your undergrad from? Any papers or research experience?
My GPA is 8.65. The toppers GPA is 9.5. I am a currently in my third year at Delhi Technological University. This is my first research experience currently. No papers.
Universities would depend on what you want to study. Go through older posts in this forum to find out which universities align with your interests and financial capabilities. I would also advise checking Canadian and European universities.
So, I did a bit of research and I will be having a paper publication by the end of september. As per my grades and profile I have made a shortlist of 18 Colleges. I still need to trim it down to 10 at the most 12. The list is as follows:
Stanford
UCB
Umich, Ann Arbor
NTU
GaTech
NUS
CalTech
ETH Zurich
TU Delft
UCLA
Purdue
RWTH Aachen
UIUC
UT Austin
Toronto
TU Munich
McGill
CMU.
Any suggestions???
I dont know about non American universities so wont comment on them.

You can forget Stanford, Berkeley and Caltech. The rest of your list is still ambitious. Michigan and GaTech are worth a try imo. Probably apply to 2 more out of UIUC, Austin, UCLA and CMU.

Look at other more gettable universities like TAMU, UWash, NCSU, ASU and Boulder.

Thanks for the help. Anyone who could evaluate the European, Singaporean and the Canadian Ones???

Also, can I mark USC, UMD College Park and Cornell as safe???
USC should be safe. Maryland and Cornell mod. Cornell only has a non thesis MEng program last I know.
Thanks so much.. Any seniors who can evaluate the European, Canadian and Singapore Universities??
I'm not a mechie and am not going to be of much help here.
