I need health insurance confirmation in order to enroll at FH Aachen.
One person advised me to take health insurance from India for 1 month. After reaching there, register for health insurance from a german company.
How much time will the german companies take to process the insurance?
What did you do?

You need to take travel insurance from the day you are flying to the day you are going to enroll in the university. Generally a one month travel insurance is sufficient.

After reaching Aachen, you can register for TK or AOK (German health insurance is a requirement for enrollment in the university). You can select one depending on your choice. This takes hardly 10 mins. You need to just go to the TK or AOK office. They will take some docs from you and will give you a certificate stating that you are insured by them. With this document, you can directly submit to the Studiensekretariat of the FH Aachen. Just land in Aachen and I will take you around to complete all the formalities of registration.

nimbus_2000 Lots of FH Aachen specific info here that I almost missed since its a profile eval thread! All this gold needs to go into the main FH Aachen thread. Please consider quoting these posts in your FH Aachen thread.

As for the Automotive application, I wouldn't recommend putting Automotive Engineering in both fields as then, the credit points awarded will be split into two categories and you might lose some valuable points. I would suggest that you add more courses to the list of courses column if the content is split into more than one courses. But in principle, you can add the same course for two different rows as you are sending them the description of the courses too with the application documents.

And some of the pages you can follow for WG (Wohngemeinschaft) searches are:

There are also websites which have ads uploaded on them regularly. Some are:

http://www.studenten-wg.de/
http://www.easywg.de/"

Find short term accommodation first and then long term after reaching here.

It took three and half weeks for the post to reach my home.
But for my batchmates, it even reached a bit earlier.
I would estimate that it generally takes 3-4 weeks. Make sure that you inform your postman that you would be receiving important mail in the next few days and to keep an eye out for it.

I have my visa interview on 9th July.
I have got an internship( out of India) from 4th August till end of the month.
My question is, if I get a call to get my final visa stamping done sometime when I am not in station, can I get it stamped without any trouble once I am back?
.
If that's possible then I will take up the internship , otherwise I'll give it a pass

You do not have to get the stamping done immediately. I got it done almost two weeks after I got the call. You can go for your intern and then get it done. I don't know whether there is a max period though. You can confirm this during your VI.

Also add in your IELTS score in your Infobank.

Can you shift this thread to the Profile Eval sub-forum.

I would just like to add some info regarding VI:
The people at Bangalore consulate are really lenient and relaxed. You can still attend visa interview WITHOUT the following documents (Personal Experience)
1. Confirmation of receipt of funds from Deutsche Bank:
In my case, even though I had transferred the amount of 8100 on 8th July, I did not get confirmation for a week. After a lot of hesitation, I went for the VI (which was on 16th July) without it and the interviewer said it was not a problem. Just take the transaction receipt from your bank to be on the safe side, though the lady dint even bother looking at it in my case
Btw: I got the confirmation mail from Deutsche Bank 1 hour after I returned from the VI Neutral

2. Provisional Degree Certificate/ Convocation Degree certificate
Take a course completion letter from your college and as many marks cards as you have got. My friend who had only course completion letter and 7 semester marks cards finished her VI without any hassles.

THIS IS ONLY APPLICABLE FOR BANGALORE CONSULATE.

Hi,
I will reach Aachen Hbf on 14th September (Sunday) at 11pm.

The formalities I need to complete after reaching are:
1.Transfer of semester fees of ~235 euros.
2.Health Insurance confirmation. (With help from AISA, I applied online and my insurance confirmation is ready. So, I just need to go to the TK office and provide my photo and address to get the confirmation document.)
3. Enrollment at FH Aachen
4. Residence permit registration

Have I missed out anything?

Secondly: After enrollment, we will be free till the course starts right?
Thanks

Check Post#4 of this thread. I have mentioned the process flow there.

You will be free till the course starts. But you might have to attend orientation for a day before the course starts.

Now, how about volunteering for profile evals here. Post on this thread if interested.
