Few things I had in mind:

1. Networking:
- LinkedIn (We've covered that I guess)
- Meetup (works great in cities especially)
- ACM / IEEE / AFCEA / Other tech chapters on campus
- Hacker Spaces

2. Getting Experience:
- Experience starting at home via freelancing / part time work / relevant full time work
- Community projects / Open Source (if it's software related)
- Working on goals i.e. tradeoffs necessary to meet goals and expectations...working in an exciting startup for insane work at lower salary

3. Resources:
- Geographical info for various industrial sectors...Quite funny how no one knows some mega tech hubs and their oppulence...small time graphics designers earn $75k per year in Northern Virginia and still everyone wants their entry level 60k for dead end work in the Valley
- Online learning resources (so many free courses from top universities)
- Building soft skills for free or cheap

The Illusionist I really appreciate the efforts and time put in by you to prepare videos. The are very knowledgeable for freshers like me. BUT the audio and video quality was very bad. I had to keep my 2.1 to full volume.
Moreover for video I could not see anything whats was typed there specifically i was interested in Resume Format. Recording videos by decreasing your system resolution is a great way (CBT nuggets guys style) or increasing the size (right bottom extreme in MS word/openoffice like 130 % or 140 %)

Thank You. Keep posting more informative videos.

Thanks for the compliment. I am sorry that the audio quality was bad. I am trying new softwares now. The in built software isnt great. But Still I can promise that next time audio volume would be much better

Moreover for video I could not see anything whats was typed there specifically i was interested in Resume Format. Recording videos by decreasing your system resolution is a great way (CBT nuggets guys style) or increasing the size (right bottom extreme in MS word/openoffice like 130 % or 140 %)

I analysed the video and I know it is blurry. There is lot of personal data contained and hence I did it on purpose to be on safer side. Also my resolution was actually 130% as u said. But the in built software screwed it up again. I again apologize. But ya I am trying new methods Smile

So keep on the look out. Planning to do more in the future Smile

Thank You. Keep posting more informative videos.

Sure! It was my pleasure. I have more ideas.
If you have any particular topics you would like to see as tutorials please tell me.
I am running out of topics now Smile

The Illusionist

ApplauseApplauseApplause Keep up the good work, mon.

Teeny suggestion, have you looked into Catamasia Studio? That's what one of my profs used for a recorded lectures when he was away. It's not free tho. Oh, Audactiy is free and it is pretty amazing for sound editing.

Hey if you have any more ideas for more vid tuts, let me know, I want to collaborate on something too Very Happy

1) Please mention as many details as possible about your academics, research and work-ex, in terms of projects worked on, technologies used, roles/responsibilities handled, papers published/presented, awards/honors obtained, etc. All those have to be put in the misc details section of your UniSearch profile if you expect any help on Edulix. Also, before requesting for profile evaluations, please go through this excellent post.

2) Please take some time out to read these three threads in their entirety. PLEASE do that before asking questions about universities from a comparison perspective, or jobs, or coursework, or H-1B visas, or "placements", irrespective of which univ/department/program/major you're applying to.

I love to read, and then I regurgitate. I write - a lot - as my posts here and on other outlets would show. I do not make apologies for what I write (and how long it is). I do not sugarcoat things either. I don't tolerate vague questions, for any reasons - ignorance arising out of an inability to locate information when the necessary tools to do so (i.e. the internet, libraries, university websites, other forums/bulletin boards, etc.) are readily available, is not any kind of an acceptable excuse.
