There are lots of colleges affiliated to Kurukshetra University. These colleges are authorized to issue transcripts on college letterhead signed by the registrar of college and then sealed in envelope. But some universities in US want transcripts / DMCs to be issued by degree granting university i.e. KU. In that case we have to go to KU office.
Meaning of transcripts in terms of KU
The university does not prepare transcripts on a single piece of paper specifying all semester marks and subjects. Instead it asks for Photostats of all the DMCs and duly attests it and attaches a cover letter specifying college name/marks /degree/division/medium of instruction. The DMcs are packed in Universities official brown envelope and mailed by speed post.
1 set of transcripts = Photostat of 8 dmcs + degree certificate = 9 documents
In case you are in 7th sem then it will be 6 sem marksheets = 6 documents
Fee per document = Rs. 100 /- so 1 set = Rs. 900 (if u r a passout)
8 sets = Rs. 7200 
Application Procedure
1. Write application beforehand to Asst .Registrar. Mention why you need and how many sets you need. In the end mention the address where the transcript will me mailed.
2. Go to OBC bank in campus and ask for a pink slip. Fill in the req amount and pay it to the KU account. You will get a slip. Carry that with you.
3. Goto new exam building top floor. Just at the entrance the room to the left side there is a guy he will assign u a case no and note it in his register . You will now go to the adjoining room where ur application and fees receipt and Photostat of DMCs will b submitted. When u enter the room on extreme right 2-3 guys are sitting. A middle aged man is the Boss. U will have to submit there. Request him that u need them urgently. So he will verify them on the spot by looking at ur original DMCs.
4. Go home. I get mine in 4 days  It was like I applied on Monday. The attested and attached cover letter on Tuesday. Sealed and despached on Wednesday. I got them on Thursday. 
Easy process but expensive

Very useful information. I also need to get my transcripts from KU for submitting to colleges in US.
Where did you get your transcripts from, the college or KU?
Do you know if someone else go on my behalf or do I have to go on my own.
Did you get them recently?

Hi This is Crap according to me i am from Kurukshetra University passed out graduate too....
What i did when i needed the attested transcripts from my college(under KU) is - I went to my college get attested all my DMC's from the Director of my college and sealed it in there, college's, envelope and sent that envelop to universities . It worked for me fine and saved my lot of money too (900 Rs are u kidding...mine take 9rupies for photostats )....... other wise
getting all these step done take your 1 month ..........

This is not a crap bro. I did the same thing what you did. There are some schools who accept transcripts attested and sealed by degree granting university not the private colleges affiliated to a University. Clear your facts before posting something as this. It sends a wrong message to other people.

BTW can you please tell me the dispatching process from the university? I mean as i am from Delhi, there can be a delay probability between kurukshetra and delhi. Do they sed it to your home by speed post or registered post? Can someone else collect them on my behalf hand to hand?

Hey Guys I am graduate from Kutrukshetra University and If I have to apply to 8 US universities do I have to make 8 transcript. I have in enquiry they are saying that they will charge 900 rs for each set.
I need sets of transcript. Guys plz help me out that what will be the fee for the extra copy of transcript.

Hi guys. I am also from Kurukshetra University. I have a doubt that when we fill the college/university in the forms, it has only KUK rather than the college name. . .So, should I go for attestation from my college or University. I am in a fix over this.
Moreover, how much time does it takes to get transcripts ? Because I have a deadline coming the end of this month. So, I need to get them before that.

Need suggestion about Canada Immigration.
I need to get CPA from WES regarding it.
Issue is that University has full name of my father on 2nd and 3rd semester DMC.(eg Manish Kaushik)
On degree and rest of the DMC , they have mentioned his short name (eg MK)

Now they are putting a objection to it .

I need suggestion , what if i just get my final cumalative Marksheet and Degree attested and put in University sealed envelope and send it to WES.

Will that work ?

I have done my MCA from Kurukshetra University only not from any college.
