Remember we had a discussion on Swedish migration policies, right?

Interesting development.. It might be late for you guys, but for future applicants.. Sweden is implementing a 6 month job search visa for international students from this July.. Plus Phd students can get a permanent residence:

Oh yes kvbharadwaj2006...!

I remember our discussion & must admit that the mandate was implemented very fast and as promised. A 6 month extension is great news.

Hi guys ,

I have been selected in EIT ICT masters program. I just wanted to clear few things regarding job search visa in germany/france .

I will be doing my 1st year from France and 2nd year from Finland

So Can I extend my visa in France after completing my 2nd year in Finland ? As i would be awarded the degree from both universities after completing the total course or Do i need to have a french residence permit in hand to extend ?

Can I also apply for job search VISA in france after finishing my 2nd year from finland .

As bhardwaj stated we can apply for german job search visa even though we have not graduated from Germany but our degree should be equivalent to german one .

I have searched the German Embassy website in Finland and there were no documents regarding this policy but the Sweden one has .

But we can apply from INDIA but lot of documentation there as well plus 45000/- fee
http://www.india.diplo.de/contentblob/36...seeker.pdf

Is it the same cost if we extend from EU country ? and can we not extend from Finalnd ?

I have rejected 2 American Universities and opted for EIT ICT . I am completely overwhelmed about the course curriculum in this program . But I have no idea where I would land after completing it . Also ,start ups for NON EU wont be blossoming as I heard from seniors .

So I need to secure my future after the course by finding a decent job and repay my loan .
I have no Idea how job searching works in Europe and coming back to India is not an option for me at least with out working for two years in Europe .
Can any EU international graduate apply jobs in any EU country after extending his stay suppose in Finland ?

Please Seniors help me
thanks for the info on Denmark and Netherlands kvbharadwaj2006
alok.surve meet u in october bro Smile

Hello friends,

I got an admit in a KIC Inno enrgy program ENTECH ..
My 1st year is at IST portugal and second year will be at Karlsruhe institute of technology Germany. I assume the visa extension laws (stay back of 18 months )of germany would be applicable in my case as Germany is my exit university country.
Kindly comment.
Is it compulsory to do your entire masters program in germany ( 2 years)to be eligible fo this visa extension.

Thanks And regards
Taby

SWITZERLAND Stayback rules?

I couldn't find any post about the stayback period post MS for students in SWITZERLAND. I have applied to EPFL and if I get an admit I would most probably forget all the US admits I get(fingers crossed) and go to EPFL, as I want a European experience.
So please, stay back period in Switzerland..?

RE: EU- Visa extension rules for BELGIUM

Hey,
I am planning to go for a joint master's program this year, with the first year in Sweden and the second year in Belgium. As such, the visa regulations of Belgium will apply to me once I graduate.
Someone said there is no automatic visa extension policy. Can you please elaborate on that? This implies that international (or Non EU) students graduating from Belgian universities intending to work in Belgium, should find a job before they graduate, or else they will have to look for jobs in other Schengen countries or return home..right? Is this 'no visa extension policy' thing conditional to other factors?
Thanks
P.S. : pulse , inspirit

I cannot comment about the official rules, as I am not aware about it, but I know some people from Erasmus Mundus Nano course who completed the course and then went to India and are planning to come back again. So I think it should be okay.
I also know of a case where a student extended her course for one more year and so she is still here.
To be sure about it, better ask someone who has personal experience in this area.
