Hi nimbus_2000 . Is there any advantage if we do it through any Indian Branch of Deutsche Bank.
The individual of the Bank explained the following to me.
When using a blocked amount you can withdraw only a specific amount of money each month (650 euro). For big cities in Germany, the living expenses can easily reach 800 euro or above.
For this they suggested that I open a student's saving account in an Indian Branch of Deutsche Bank. The initial deposit is 1 lakh rupee and the quarterly average in the account must be 25000 or so. After this they will take care of the whole process of attestation of my signature at there office and opening a blocked account in my name. Advantage of this is that they provide a debit card for the Indian Student account which can be used in Germany without any transaction cost. So if you need more than 650 euro (like initially settling down, security for house etc) you can with draw from this account.

Any thoughts?
