No, just photocopies would do.

No, VO will not even bother to ask for originals. But do carry it with you. And, no, VO will not collect any original documents from you.

Hi,

I have a few questions.

The link that is provided in the post for booking an appointment with the Mumbai Consulate is taking to a page that does not have an option to book.
Is the link down?

Also now on the website of the embassy, they say that the appointment has to be booked on phone or via a mail.
Did you folks do that too?

Thanks.

Please fill in your Infobank completely including Misc details and Univs applied before posting any further queries. Infobank tutorial can be found in my signature.
This is a thread from last year. The procedure for booking appointments has changed. Refer to the thread that I have hyperlinked in my signature for German Visa.

What should be I write here in Visa Application form:

1) Residence permit no:

2) Do you intend to maintain your permanent residence outside the Federal Republic of Germany ? If So where?

Also should I sign the forms here or in front of embassy like DB form ?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Mumba.

1) Blank.

2) Yes. You can mention your permanent address.

You can sign the forms before going for your VI.

Do they see original admit letter?
I got admit from Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt and the univeristy has already emailed me admit letter. They have also posted the same but I have not receive that. So is the email copy of admit letter considered valid for Mumbai consulate? Email copy is not signed and stamped.

Yes, as far as I remember, they insist on original copies. If you are really tight on time, they may also accept your soft copy. It would depend on the consulate and your luck.

The process has changed completely.
Now you require 8640Euros in blocked account. I got visa confirmation in 27 days but for stamping in Mumbai consulate you have to book appointment at Vfs .
They stamp and give after 3 days. Two days of mine have been wasted by this process .I have flight on Friday ,don't know if I will get passport on time.
So,wanted to share to save others from trouble.
Your post helped a lot[/size]

Also, now 6 months travel insurance is required

Hi people,
I gave my student visa interview at mumbai consulate on 28TH march 2017, no reply from them yet, its almost a month. I am very tensed, is it normal for the mumbai consulate to take this much time?

ThanksBrick wall

Yeah one month is about the time it takes for Mumbai Consulate to reply. Factor in the Easter vacations in Germany, so add 2-3 days. I believe the reply should be coming soon.

Cheers
