Dude. I'm also applying but am stuck at this "Higher Entrance Education Qualification" part. Tried reading for information as directed but it is still not crystal clear. What are they asking for here? My 12th class certificate or my degree? I'm confused! Brick wall

Do, or do not. There is no try.

Did you have to apply through uni-assist?

Exactly where I was stuck too. So I shot them am email and this was the reply I got-

Dear Psyched11 ( Smile ),

thank you for your interest in studying at TUM.
Higher Education Entrance Qualification refers to your school leaving certificate.

Best regards
Corina Oblinger, studentische Mitarbeiterin der Hotline

I also checked the German requirements (before I received the above reply) and got to know that the requirement was 'Abitur' for Germans which they receive after 12th/13th grade (according to Wikipedia).

I thus finally applied with my 12th certificate.

There's another site - 'Anabin' something where they have mentioned the acceptable documents. What I made out from the site was that if you have a 12th certificate, you need to provide evidence of minimum 50% marks but with a 12th certificate and IIT entrance documents, there's no minimum marks requirement.

To answer your other question, I applied directly to TUM, not through Uni-assist. Uni-assist, as far as my understanding goes, is required for undergrad applicants. TUM has mentioned to apply directly through them for the Master's programs.

I see options like Evening secondary school, Technical preparatory school, etc.(lot more),

P.S. I am from India...

Thank you in advance...

Applied on 8 January 2014, documents reached on 15 January 2014. Got a mail from TUM confirming the receipt of documents. But it seems they haven't opened the packet yet, because I see no update on the TUMOnline portal.

My memory is blurred but I remember choosing an option which said I had a foreign entrance certificate. Maybe, we could help you out if you post all the options you see.

spiketospica

I don't have any update too except that they have received my application. My documents reached on 20th January. That they asked us to refrain from emails or telephone calls with document queries tells me its gonna be a long wait till we see those green ticks. But there's a site maintenance on 4th Feb. Maybe we can expect some updates then!

Wow, that's a long list. But I never came across anything like this during my application process. Sorry I can't help much.
All I can think of is that you may have selected a wrong previous option. The codes mentioned in brackets are codes of schools in German Education System (that's what I am assuming after some googling!).
Are you sure you chose the option saying you have a 'Foreign Higher Education Entrance Qualification' or something like that?

Dude,

you were right, I have selected a wrong option,

after choosing this option- I have obtained a foreign higher education entrance qualification, I have 3 options

1.Entrance qualification for college of higher education
2.General qualification for university entrance
3.Subject specific qualification for university entrance

Im confused between 1st & 2nd options...

I got my UG admissions with my 12th std through single window counselling system...[/u]
