Very good post. Useful to those who want all the information in a single post about for studying the Master's Degree in Germany.

This is my first post since I joined and following this forum for almost 5 months, and I have to say that 'Seniors' and 'Super Seniors' in this forum are doing a great job. Almost all the necessary information I got for the Master's courses in 'Computer Science' from the already available threads and that's why I haven't posted anything till now.

Thanks guys.

BTW, I have few queries which may be off-topic from this post,
Is there any specific thread available (or) created for the German Visa from Chennai Consulate for this year (2014)?
(or)
Whether we need to use the following thread for asking any questions:
German Visa 2013 from Chennai Consulate

Infobank

German University Application Status for 'Winter Semester' 2014/15:
Destination University :University of Paderborn.

Can you create a separate thread for 2014 Visa queries?
Similar to kaprikorn07's thread from last year. Presently a number of threads are being created for each query. We can edit the first post with all the Q&As once the queries start coming in.

Sriram Partha

You can post your query there once this thread is created.

Good work guys
I want to clear one issue under the thread which would help students..
"Debunking the myth of PhD after studying in Hochschule/Facchocschule"

As one knows that TU/uni are the most preferred ones for PHd,,,Apart from this if one who has not received masters from the above then he/she should take additional credits or courses in order to be eligible for the same.

I think to be eligible for Phd atleast in germany
They see your research work.
Secondly the university where you completed your masters.
Third, the total credits of bachelors and masters i think it should sum upto 300-310.

Post your query under that thread which deals with your queries. You may post useful links under this thread, which wud eventually add value to this thread.

I think to compensate the credits you lose in MS at FH, you should take those additional courses.

For research work, one have to do Master's Thesis in FH as well.
