MPOWER Financing

Hi ,

I came across MPOWER financing options available for students who wish to secure an education loan without a US co-signer.

I'd like to know if anyone has taken such a loan from MPOWER and how trusted is this institution ?

I'd really appreciate any information regarding this since I couldn't find reviews on Google.

Thanks

RE: MPOWER Financing

Any senior would like to comment on this query? Because I'm myself too, considering MPOWER financing as an option. If anyone has opted for their services in the past, please share your experience.

Thank you!

RE: MPOWER Financing

Not sure if we have any data on them yet.......They had never officially contacted us and explained what they offer to our community.

We will wait and see if there are members of our community who have interacted with them.

RE: MPOWER Financing

MPOWER Financing is one of the partners on the GyanDhan platform.

Pros:

  • No collateral requirement: This is also offered by ProdigyFinance and Indian lenders like Credila, Avanse, and Axis.
  • No co-signor: All Indian lenders require a co-signor. This is particularly useful if your co-signor has a spotty credit score (CIBIL).
  • Covers non-engineering courses as well: This is particularly important for no collateral option for select programs.

Cons:
  • High interest rate: The quoted interest rate is close to 12%. Please note that it is in USD, which makes it equivalent to an Indian loan at 17%.
  • Low loan limits: You can apply for a loan up to 25k at any point in time. This will not cover the entire cost of education in quite a few universities.

You can always reach out to the team at GyanDhan. We will be glad to evaluate your case and suggest the best possible option for you, including MPOWER if it is the best option for your scenario.
