Db guy here(Mumbai fort brabch) asked me to submit it here. I guess they take care of postage internally. Even initial account forms were posted by them internally.

Hi,
Eaerliest available date at Delhi embassy is 27th July.
I just finished my bachelors and university hands over the provisional degree in August.
I can't delay my visa till August as I might not receive it before 1st October.
What to do in such situation? Is provisional degree mandatory for Delhi embassy? I have emailed the embassy and no reply yet.

I have received admit from TUM informatics Winter'16.

thanks

You book the visa for the date available. Then you can try rescheduling the date. Check 3-4 times a day. Generally, you'll get an early date.

Good luck

Thanks for correcting the error bro...yes, it is exactly the same form that I had submitted to DB by entering an amount which was more than it was required. The lady at DB as well as the Ausländerbehörde had no problem whatsoever with more money.

And yes, you would be charged 50 Euros and unfortunately you can't do anything. They would deduct from your account themselves.

Ok regarding the submission of this form (when doing it from India), there is something I would share that DB Bank told me: The lady told me that if the DB bank in India has the facility of accepting this form and making the required changes to your blocked from their end, then fine. Otherwise, you have to send this form (courier) to the DB bank of the city you are going to. She further mentioned that she was not in a position to comment upon the functioning of the Indian branch as every bank has its own rules. So, she said better confirm from India and if they say we can't do anything, then you courier this to the DB Bank to the city where you going to.

But as sambha bhai has told that the Mumbai DB bank has specifically confirmed that the form can be submitted with them, then no issues. It is good and much better than sending this form to Deutschland. But I doubt that they would let you off the leash for 50 Euros. the form itself states (signed by you) that you would be charged. So go ahead and don't worry....these are charges you have to live with. So chill Smile

Hoping all is cleared then.....would be glad to share any other details.

P.S - I guess this would be required sometime in the future definitely if you are with DB . The transaction charges for online banking from your blocked acct to your Indian DB Local account are also quite high (45-50 euros for more than 100 Euros till 12K euros (if I remember correctly)), just in case for info. That's why more money is always good Razz to avoid these transaction taxes later!

Sent back from VI because of blocked account Sad. On the bright side, fingerprinting + interview done and I dont need an appoint for my next visit. (Appointments at Mumbai consulate are now available August 8th +)

People, please get your blocking notice updated to 8640 euros before interview. I did this by submitting the supplementary form mentioned above at Mumbai Deutsche bank branch. They said it will be updated in 2 days.

At the VI I was also asked for some SWIFT notification for the transfer of funds to the German blocked account. On asking for this at the bank, they gave me a attested account statement which shows the transfer of funds to the German account.

Unfortunate but really good that a lot has been cleared for you as well as the future applicants Smile Nice!

That SWIFT thingie for info - Once you get to Germany and initiate your blocked account, you get a IBAN and a SWIFT code which is used for online net banking (transactions etc.). So the proof of transfer done using these transaction details, they refer to as SWIFT notification.

It is essentially the proof or receipt of transaction/transfer.

badiya sambha bhai Very Happy

There was no earlier date available (frankly I didn't anticipate so much traffic). I will be travelling to Germany on 25th August. Keeping a buffer of 6 weeks for the entire process, I guess my schedule will also be screwed up.

Adding one more problem to the list, I never receive the hard copy result of TOEFL. I ordered for an additional copy on 25th May, but I am skeptical of it's chances of reaching home by the time I have my VI. Will it be a problem to just show the printout of the TOEFL score sheet?

Hey Godhwani,

Did Even I am having this hurdle. I have a visa interview on 5th July but my TOEFL scores haven't arrived yet. Could you find out of Print out of TOEFL scores would suffice?

I am having my VI on 12th July at Mumbai Consulate and so for the financial means I am going to show Verpflichtungserklärung (Obligation letter) from my brother living in Germany. I just wanted to ask whether block account is necessary or will verpflichtungserklärung be enough? Has anyone done this before ? If so, kindly share your experience

huzefamk I think it would be sufficient. As per their visa checklist, you just need one document of all the options. I don't know anyone who has done this but I guess, there is nothing to be worried about.
