Thanks cneha1991 for the prompt reply Smile

Could you please share the correct link of the form required to change blocked amount limit.

sambha

Do we have to email this form or courier it to DB Hamburg??

Db guy here(Mumbai fort brabch) asked me to submit it here. I guess they take care of postage internally. Even initial account forms were posted by them internally.

sambha akashkharat526@gmail.com

Thanks for correcting the error bro...yes, it is exactly the same form that I had submitted to DB by entering an amount which was more than it was required. The lady at DB as well as the Ausländerbehörde had no problem whatsoever with more money.

And yes, you would be charged 50 Euros and unfortunately you can't do anything. They would deduct from your account themselves.

Ok regarding the submission of this form (when doing it from India), there is something I would share that DB Bank told me: The lady told me that if the DB bank in India has the facility of accepting this form and making the required changes to your blocked from their end, then fine. Otherwise, you have to send this form (courier) to the DB bank of the city you are going to. She further mentioned that she was not in a position to comment upon the functioning of the Indian branch as every bank has its own rules. So, she said better confirm from India and if they say we can't do anything, then you courier this to the DB Bank to the city where you going to.

But as sambha bhai has told that the Mumbai DB bank has specifically confirmed that the form can be submitted with them, then no issues. It is good and much better than sending this form to Deutschland. But I doubt that they would let you off the leash for 50 Euros. the form itself states (signed by you) that you would be charged. So go ahead and don't worry....these are charges you have to live with. So chill Smile

Hoping all is cleared then.....would be glad to share any other details.

P.S - I guess this would be required sometime in the future definitely if you are with DB . The transaction charges for online banking from your blocked acct to your Indian DB Local account are also quite high (45-50 euros for more than 100 Euros till 12K euros (if I remember correctly)), just in case for info. That's why more money is always good Razz to avoid these transaction taxes later!

But its written on the supplementary form that they will charge 150 euros to change the agreement.

RaheelA The fees has been changed to 150 Euros from June 30th as I saw on the Deutsche Bank Facebook Page for extending the limit on the blocked account. But I also read that if your account has already been opened according to the 50 Eur charge, and you haven't transferred the 8100 Eur, it will charge 50 Eur only for transferring the money (8700 Eur). Both of these posts were given by Deutsche Bank officials so this subject is still muddy.

However, I've transferred 9000 Euros yesterday. I also gave the supplementary form to DB Gurgaon on 24th June. I am yet to receive confirmation from DB. But as soon as I do, I'll post it here.

Does anyone of you know if I can clear my VI with the Swift transaction receipt and not the confirmation mail from DB?

And, is it also possible to give my passport and the Visa receipt to one of my friends currently living in Delhi and if he can submit my passport at VFS office, and collect it later after I receive the confirmation mail?

I have my VI on 5th July Mumbai Consulate. I have transferred 8700 € and had sent the supplementary form as well. However, I have received the confirmation saying I have 8700 € in my blocked account and have 8040€ blocked for monthly disposal. I don't think till 5th morning I will receive the updated amount email. Please help what shall I do??

No Problem kanor . That confirmation from DB of 8700 Eur would do. Just say that you have submitted the supplementary form and you still haven't received confirmation regarding the extended monthly limit.

Hi all,
I have recently appeared for my German Student Visa interview. The interview took place on 12th July,2016. Here is my VI experience...
So I had my VI appointment at 9am at Arcadia building, Nariman Point, Mumbai.
I reached there at 7:30am. Now i thought it was way too early but i was proved wrong later. There were already 7 people standing in the queue before me. At exactly 8am the guard allowed us inside one by one. We had to take out all our documents and they put our bags in a locker for which we were provided a token. Then we were told to take out our DD(for INR 4600) and fill two DD forms and a single photograph and take it to counter no. 5(which is kinda outside and away from the other counters). There a person checked the DD and passport and the forms and issued a token number on a slip of paper for VI. My token number was 8. We were then given a visa checklist and told to arrange all the documents as per it.
In the next 15 minutes all 4 VI counters opened and the token numbers were displayed for VI. There were a lot of repeat cases before me(mainly due to DB blocked amount changes). I got called to counter no. 4. There was a young Indian lady who greeted me. Here is the brief transcript of my VI:
VO:Which university and course have you received admit for?
Me: (the required ans)
VO: What have you studied?
Me: B.E. EnTc
VO: When did you graduate?
Me: Last month
VO: Oh..Then do you have your degree and mark sheet for final semester?
Me: I have neither. Pune university will provide marksheet and passing certificate by end of july. Degree will be available in october in convocation ceremony. But i have secured a provisional degree certificate from university which states my marks and passing grade.
VO: Ok...(she saw the provisional certificate and was happy with it). Do you have your mark sheet online?
Me: Yes..I have a pdf copy.
VO: Can you give me that? Two sets of copies if you have.
( i had two sets and gave the online pdf copy to her)
VO: Does your university has any tuition fees?
Me: yes
VO: How much is it?
Me: (I tell her the amount)
VO: Do you have a document mentioning this fees...example...a fee structure?
Me: Yes...(i give her the fee structure)...I have already paid the first semester fee.
VO: Do you have receipt from university for that?
Me: No...But I have a bank SWIFT transaction copy of the fee payment. Will it be helpful?
VO: Yeah. Give me two copies of it.(I had only one. so i went to a xerox center in the basement of the building and got the required copies later)
VO: Please fill this questionnaire...(There were about 6-7 questions...I filled and gave it back)
VO: How are you going to finance your stay?
Me: Self funding + bank loan.
VO: Show me the original loan approval letter.(I showed her the letter)
VO: have you got DB blocked account confirmation for 8640euros?
Me: yes. I had earlier blocked 8040 euros and then sent a supplementary form and changed it to 8640 euros...i had received the confirmation just in time for my VI.
VO: Show your original documents...mark sheets, certificated, 10th, 12th, TOEFL score card.( i gave them to her. she verified and was satisfied with them)
VO: I am now going to take your finger prints..(and the process of finger print scanning was done)
VO: here is your receipt for INR4600...we have now began your visa processing...you will receive a mail regarding visa status in 6 to 12 weeks.
Me: THANK YOU!!
now i was in the premises for about 90 minutes...here are the key points i observed:
1) You absolutely need the confirmation of 8640 euros blocked amount...on paper...or come again later.
2) DD amount is 4600INR and not latest 60euro as per Euro to INR rate....couple of guys brought DD by multiplying 60 euros with latest rate and they were told to go home...the amount is INR 4600.
3) Do not give or mention additional financial documents unless they ask. Don't be desperate to prove your financial worth. Answer financial questions to the point.
4) Do some research about your prospective field of study...modules...researchers....famous people...books..etc...the questionnaire has questions about it.
5) For fresh graduates, either provisional degree or final semester mark sheet is necessary....plus pdf copy of your result.

Overall i had a very pleasant experience...My VI lasted for about 12 minutes...on counter no.1 the VI were lasting longer...it all depends on how well prepared and confident you are and how well you know what documents you are carrying and where exactly they are kept in the file...don't carry too many folders...one expansion folder with tags is ideal....
hope this helps any prospective VI aspirants for 2016....Good luck.

I had my VI on 12th July and from now on Mumbai Consulate is not accepting €8700 and €8040 Blocked.
They are asking for Updated Statement i.e. €8640 Blocked and €720 withdrawal limit per month.
I was sent back (Originals Checked, Bio Metric Taken and Questionnaire Filled ) and would visit on 19th July (without appointment it's mentioned on application form ).
So Mumbai Consulate people who havent got €8640 Confirmation call DB Germany or ask any senior to visit the bank to speed up process.

Everybody Best of Luck with your VI.

P.S. From 18th July the Visa Fee is Rs.4500.
