Hi:

Your choices of European programs are kind of appropriate.
- Delft, Twente are good. Add DTU (kind of competitive).
- Freiburg is good. Add TU Stuttgart or TU Hamburg

In the US, add
U Colorado, Boulder (Ambitious)
NCSU
Texas A&M (ambitious)
UC Riverside (kind of safe)
NJIT (safe).

cheers,

EE

Innonergy could be ambitious but in NL you should be able to make it through to the SET program.
Germany should also be okay.

Hi,
But Tu Delft & Eindhoven has an academic requirement of 75% and my CGPA is 7.4 (74%) Will it hamper my chances?

Hi,

I will surely look into those options. I want to know what my chances are at:
1) Rochester Institue of Technology- MSc in Alternate Energy
2) UMich- Ann Arbor- Energy systems engineering
3) Uni Illinois Urbana-Champaign- Energy systems engineering.

RIT is kind of safe for you. Michigan and UIUC are top ranked programs. Ambitious is what they will be in your list.

cheers,

EE

ASU - Moderate to safe
NCSU - Moderate
UT Austin - Ambitious
TAMU - Moderate to Ambitious.
Dayton - Too safe. Not recommended.

It's pretty much at the borderline. You should apply in anycase to all the 3TUs in Netherlands. You might get through actually. I would give more preference to TU Eindhoven actually if organic photovoltaics is your interest.

I would also suggest in Germany to look at University of Mainz. The MPI for Polymer Research there has some really good research on organic photovoltaics. You should certainly consider Univ Stuttgart. The MPI there is also pretty good. Freiburg and Ulm are good choices too. Definitely look at TU Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH).

Thanks for the info. I am really looking forward to getting an admit in any of these 3TUs.
I have 1 year job ex (NL based Oil & Energy MNC) as of now.I have also done two research projects in a CSIR research lab on organic photovoltaics and nanoparticles, no papers though. Will it improve my chances? @rogue
