Please take out the self-categorization from your post there. It can be highly misleading for other applicants.

CMU - drop
UIUC - drop
WISCONSIN - ambi, recommend drop
UCLA - drop
GATECH - ambi
TAMU - drop
UMICH - drop
UPENN - ambi
USC - safe-mod
NCSU - ambi
University of Colorado Boulder - mod-safe
UMN - ambi
STONY BROOK - ambi, recommend drop
SUNY BUFFALO - mod-ambi
ASU - mod-safe
UTD - safe-mod

I'd highly recommend retaking the GRE again, and getting a 160+ score (ideally a 165+ score rather) if possible.

Also, do enter your work-ex details in the "Misc Details" section of your UniSearch profile.

1) Please mention as many details as possible about your academics, research and work-ex, in terms of projects worked on, technologies used, roles/responsibilities handled, papers published/presented, awards/honors obtained, etc. All those have to be put in the misc details section of your UniSearch profile if you expect any help on Edulix.

2) Please take some time out to read this and this thread in their entirety. PLEASE do that before asking questions about universities from a comparison perspective, or jobs, or coursework, or H-1B visas, or "placements", irrespective of which univ/department/program/major you're applying to.

Thanks a lot for your quick feedback. I would surely consider of reappearing for the test. However, could you please recommend other decent universities if I decide to apply with my current score? For eg: UTA, SJSU, neu, utah, ohio etc.

Define "decent". Such terms are very subjective and the parameters of the definition vary from person to person. So, tell me this, please: what to you, is a "decent" school? What factors would you rank in terms of importance, from the most important one in making a decision about which schools to apply to, to the least important?

Regardless of that definition, you should only apply to schools that (a) have good coursework and/or research in your chosen field of specialization and/or interest, and (b) do not force you to break the bank for your education. Make sure you go through university websites and come up with a list on your own, seeing which programs you like, keeping in mind these 2 points as well as your own definition of what constitutes as a "decent" school for you.

And go through the threads I've linked to in point #2 below this post, by clicking on the words "this" in red.
