FALL 2018 | MIS |GRE 300 (Q&V :150) BE CSE 64.5 |WORK EX : 2+

ello Seniors,

I am planning for MS in Management Information Systems for Fall 2018.

GRE (Mar'17):
300 (Q-150, V-150, AWA-4.0)

TOEFL (Nov'17):
Yet to appear

Graduation (2015):
B.E. in Cse from Rnsit, Bangalore
Aggregate 64.5%.

12th (2008) : 70%
10th (2006) : 88.4%

Work Experience (Aug'15 onward):
7 months at a startup.
1.7+ years of work ex at Deloitte.

I have shortlisted the below universities:

1. MS-MIS - SUNY, Buffalo - School of Management
2. MSIS - University of Cincinnati -
3. MS Technology Magagement - University of Illinois Urbana Champaign -
4. MS-ITM - University of Texas, Dallas
5. MS in MIS - University of Illinois at Chicago

Also options i am currently researching are Neu Boston and Osu programs for the same.
Do let me know if all are ambitious Razz

Note:*This list was created by me when my gre prep scores were 308. Did not score that much in real Gre. Have possibly no time left to retake gre for atleast next two months due to personal reasons.
Also i am not familiar with whom all should i tag and have already filled the infoblank , if some more details are needed do let me know regarding the same.

Could you please evaluate the above selection and suggest any other universities which could be added to the list. Thank you for this amazing platform.

Regards.

I apologize for the delay.

You may have a chance of getting into UTD ITM. But for the rest of them, you are most likely going to get a reject. If you have a score around 310, that would make a lot of difference. But, if you still cant give your GRE then i suggest you to come up with a better list. go through the unisearch and MIS forum for better idea.

All the best, my friend Very Happy

I agree with the above eval. Retake the GRE at least, if you can, and try to get a 315-320+ score with as high a quant score as you can.

1) Please mention as many details as possible about your academics, research and work-ex, in terms of projects worked on, technologies used, roles/responsibilities handled, papers published/presented, awards/honors obtained, etc. All those have to be put in the misc details section of your UniSearch profile if you expect any help on Edulix. Also, before requesting for profile evaluations, please go through this excellent post.

2) Please take some time out to read these three threads in their entirety. PLEASE do that before asking questions about universities from a comparison perspective, or jobs, or coursework, or H-1B visas, or "placements", irrespective of which univ/department/program/major you're applying to.

I love to read, and then I regurgitate. I write - a lot - as my posts here and on other outlets would show. I do not make apologies for what I write (and how long it is). I do not sugarcoat things either. I don't tolerate vague questions, for any reasons - ignorance arising out of an inability to locate information when the necessary tools to do so (i.e. the internet, libraries, university websites, other forums/bulletin boards, etc.) are readily available, is not any kind of an acceptable excuse.
