JT_daniel Is there any part time job or funds available to meet the living expenses. After graduation from FH type of univ it is not possible to do Ph.D was that so. I would likely to apply for the course. tell me other possibilities of finding a course on Sustainable Energy. Evaluate my profile bro

shashank gangil it's Energy Systems- Deals with the production of energy. Green Buildings isn't a module here, sorry.

And no, that's not a problem at all. In fact, it's so darn common in Germany to have a few years between successive levels in college or school or in between.

raltz GRE is recommended for all Indian students. And I wouldn't go as far as to say it's one of the best in general, but course specific wise it is among the best for Energy studies.

gowthamtceYes, you do have decent opportunities for part time jobs, but German knowledge is necessary. So I wouldn't advice you to bank on a job to take care of your living expenses. At least for the first 6-12 months, you would be better served trying to improve your German and then think of a part time job.

It's technically possible to do a PhD after graduating here and I have a few seniors who are doing it actually, but you'll have to find Researchers and Professors willing to be your guide, which they normally will hesitate seeing the degree from an FH due to the real low emphasis on research here. But according to the Bologna protocol, it is possible.

JT_daniel I need to know why almost all universities insist on having B1 even for english taught courses man, the survival yes, but its not required for the studies right? since you're going to answer all the tests in english only right..

and is there any way to get around this? i havent done a single course yet..and i'm willing to take on learning german, been learning french in school till +2 if it would help..did you take german language courses from 1st year or what? I notice there is a crash course available in goethe institut in chennai..can I apply promising them that I'll learn it by the time I join there?

Yes, Merlyn is right. You don't need the B1 certificate while applying, but you'll have to take it before registering for your 3rd Semester examinations. Which is around 1.5 years after you come here.

I'd advise you to take up whatever coaching you can in India before coming here. It helps so much, trust me.
