No, the german requirements say B1 . I am sure I wouldnt be able to do that before enrollment. Sad

But you have already finished your A1 right?
I think it is possible to finish till B1 in 2-3 months if you are doing German full-time.
But with job, it is impossible unless you hire a private tutor.

GETHU
How many levels have you finished?

Impossible to leave my job right now.
I still haven't taken the Goethe exam for A1.
So I prefer not to apply.
Does the course have mandatory subjects in German?

There are actually no compulsory subjects in the course.
That was the best thing I found about FH Aachen.
Check this link out:
http://www.fh-aachen.de/en/programmes/au...-contents/
As you can see, it is practically possible to finish the program without taking a subject in German... Shocked
And even for the German electives, you can write the final exams in English and the handouts in the lecture will also be available in both the languages....

GETHU
I think very few will have their B1 certificate at the time of application. Most will be in their A1 or A2 courses. So comparatively, you will be having an advantage as you have already have your A2 certificate. Very Happy

Then why does the univ want people to finish B1 ????Brick wall
I have chances tending to zero already with respect to getting an admit anywhere in germany. This univ doesn't even give me a chance at applying Very HappyVery Happy

Anyone knows the duration of the course?

Some places say its 3 semester and 90 credits. eg: http://www.fh-aachen.de/en/programmes/au...dy-course/

Some say its 4 semester, the link that nimbus_2000 posted: http://www.fh-aachen.de/en/programmes/au...-contents/

Any clue??

The four semester course is the one with Research Project....i.e. In the third semester you had to undergo a research project in addition to the Master Thesis in the fourth semester

Unfortunately, this year they are not offering the four semester course....It is a three semester course without the Automotive Research Project...

Surprising to hear this nimbus_2000

FH-Aachen was very much inclined towards practical training and internships, as they highly increase the job prospects.

It still continues to be practical(Industry) oriented course. The research semester was introduced only last year and i don't think it worked out well so they have stopped it.

Off edulix this semester!! Do not tag me, it is no good.

For the previous year the Guidelines for the SOP was that it should be max. one page long and described coherently all the question mentioned in the FH Aachen webpage.
• What are your motivations/reasons to study in Germany?

• What are your motivations/reasons to study at FH Aachen?

• Which are your expectations from the study at FH Aachen?

• Which advantages do you expected from the study at FH Aachen

But this year, nothing about SOP mentioned.
So can we stretch it to one and a half page long without any format or stick to the previous four questions and one page length?

If no guideline is given then i think you can stretch by half a page. But make sure it is not lengthy. Around 700-750 words will be ideal.

Do we need to answer the previous year 4 questions in the sop or no need to do that?
