They sent the same mail to all of us, just changed the name and the waiting no. in every mail.
Yes i have also got the form to fill but its no point to think that they will offer me any admit because of my low rank.
Don't know the reason for my low rank 171 among 250 applicants.
My friend has 68% aggregate without any work ex, gate qualified, his rank is 105.
I have 70% aggregate with 2.5 year of work ex, gate qualified and mine rank is 171.
My bachelor degree was in Automobile engineering, may be this is a reason, as my undergraduate curriculum was focused too much on automobile.
But I can only guess...........

It seems the ranks have been alloted randomly...I have a 2.5 Years exp in same field plus a score of 72% in undergrads...my rank is 143!!!! *word censored by forum*!!!

Can you please tell me your reasons for choosing RUB over TUB?
Do you have any info regarding the reputation/quality of course? Any idea about placements after this course?

RUB is one of the fastest growing Universities in the world and is ranked pretty good in Top 100 below 25 years category of THE rankings. RUB will soon start a strategic alliance in Ruhr along with Universities in Duisburg-Essen and TU-Dortmund, which I guess will further strengthen it's position as an emerging super University in Germany.

Looking at course, I prefer it more than the one in TUB. Not to mention some of the electives that I'm interested in is offered only in German.

Location wise, RUB is closer to cities like Dusseldorf, Koln, Dortmund, Duisburg, Essen, basically the Industrial hub of Germany !

Please don't come to the conclusion that TUB sucks. It's a very highly reputed college and has good tie-ups with Automobile giant Volkswagen ! Above all, it's a TU9 college and RUB isn't (atleast for now).

12th- 64%
Mech eng- 71.38% (VTU, Karnataka, India)
IELTS- 8
Project was based on CFD (IISc.) , an internship and a workshop in SERC, IISc.
A1 german from Goethe.
