12. I left this field blank.

20. Name and address should be sufficient.

23. Only months should generally be okay. If they are asking for the exact dates, you can fill in a date about 2-3 days before you are actually going to fly. They need this date so as to issue you the Visa from that date onwards.

24. Filling in "Blocked Account Funds and Financial Support from family" should be sufficient. Just in case they require you to show that you can sustain yourself for the second year, you can take the Affidavit of Support from your parents and their bank account statements.

All the best!

Hi,
#SridharAshokk, #nimbus_2000, #scofield1144#

I've few questions regarding filling up the visa application form and it is very urgent as my appointment is on 15th July (day after tomorrow) at Delhi embassy. The "Application Form" which I downloaded online through Delhi embassy is this and it contains footer "Courtesy of the German Consulate General, Mumbai" at right bottom of last page.

1. Is it okay to use this form in Delhi embassy??? If NO, then please suggest the appropriate link. If YES then shall I leave it as it is or delete it on PC?

2. Shall I Type on PC, Print and Sign or else Print, Hand-fill and Sign. Which one is favorable to fill the form?

3. Regarding filed no. "12. Authorization to return to (if entered in passport)". I've gone through different posts in Edulix and found that some has written "DELHI" *(same as the place of issue)* some has left it blank. What is recommended?

4. Regarding field no. "26. Have you been expelled or deported from Germany, had an application for a residence permit rejected, or been refused entry into the Federal Republic of Germany?".
I believe this field relates with only if the application for residence permit in past is rejected or refused. And I am filling "NO" here. Little bit confused as in past my application for Schengen Visa was refused at Delhi embassy. Please suggest the exact answer "YES" or "NO"???

Beg your pardon to ask one stupid questionLaughing - how to TAG????

Please come with immediate response. running out of time.

Many thanks!

Answers are

1. It doesn't matters much. Just leave it as it is.

2. Type everything in PC, print it and sign.

3. Leave it blank.

4. I dont have any idea, let seniors reply.

scofield1144 has answered most of your queries.
For the fourth one, I would suggest that your write that you were denied Schengen Visa and when you applied and all other details. I say this mainly because it is best to be as transparent as possible in your dealings with the consulate. If you hide that information and they find out that you were denied a Visa and you didn't reveal it to them (they would have that information with them), they will definitely ask you about it. Why give them a chance of denying Visa. Just have all the other documents with you and follow the advice that so many of your appers have posted here and you should definitely sail through.
All the best!

Hi seniors.

I am applying for visa via the Chennai consulate, but I am currently posted in Kolkata. I want to apply via the Chennai consulate only. Will it be a problem?

One of my friends, who is currently posted in Muscat, got his visa rejected in Blore Consulate. They asked him to apply in Muscat.

Thanks.
Nikhil

Check the Consulate's website, properly. Or write them an email, or call.

Nevertheless, I think it is related to jurisdiction, and whether or not you can show that you belong to a Consulate's jurisdiction. I guess you have to be living in the area for last one year? I don't know. I am most likely wrong.

Thanks for your reply. I have sent them an email. I have enough documents to prove that I belong to the Chennai Consulate's Jurisdiction. But for the Kolkata one, I don't have any. Also, I don't want to apply via Kolkata. So it should work out well no?
