nimbus_2000 Great work!! *Respect*

And yes, btw I need a thread for travelling in Germany, so I'd appreciate if anuragm created one Very Happy

And to add to that, I wouldn't mind some company too Very Happy

Nimbus, this year round we should totally have an Edulix meet on one of the weekends somewhere in Germany/Belgium/Netherlands. What's say? After all, I see a lot of people coming to the EU this year. Cheers guys!!

Btw, I think I am going to stick this thread and unstick this one, if that is okay with you guys. scofield1144,SridharAshokk IMO this is a pretty good index of all the important relevant threads for the German visas.

I am okay with it. This thread has anyways has all the links of the German Visa threads in the EU forum.

We should really have a Edu Meet for EU people. Aachen is on the border of Netherlands, Belgium and Netherlands too. Wink

Maybe we can also have a thread from yogi1 on travelling in EU. Very Happy

Yeah thats a good idea. Actually when you stuck this visa thread, I was wondering how did you miss this compilation thread.

Actually, All you need to know about studying Masters in Germany has the link of this compilation thread as well as the link of The German Language thread by nimbus, which you stuck a week back.

I thought while creating the "All you need to know about studying Masters in Germany" thread that having the links of all these in one thread will be very useful.

scofield1144 Good work indeed! Now the EU forum has three different sticky threads with links to German visa which even includes my thread on the EU Visa policies and I am hoping people will now stop randomly posting queries but take efforts to read the threads.

nimbus_2000 Yep totally, Aachen being on the border, we should totally organize an Edumeet there, maybe at Drielandenpunt Wink I guess once all folks come in by September, we should plan something around October end or November (some weekend preferably)

UPDATE: I have edited the first post of the thread with a list of FAQs (many thanks to cneha1991 for the compilation). Let me know if I have missed some more questions so that we can add the answers to it too.

hi.. all
Firstly my sincere thanks to all edulixians specially nimbus, scofield, GETHU

I finished my VISA interview today at bangalore consulate went very smoothly i will be posting my visa experience shortly...

In the Visa application form at the last page where there is "applicants signature" . i have not signed adjacent to it (i.e about the broad line),,but i have signed exactly above space where "applicant signature is written.

something like this

(but signed here)
applicants signature: (should have signed here)
.......................................

my Visa offier did not tell anything about it,,but my friend who was also attending the interview along with me in other counter was asked to sign adjacent to it in one set of copy and his other copy was the old one.

Does this pose me any problems???
Waiting for fast replies

This thread is not to be used for queries as stated in the first post.
As for your query, it is not an issue at all. Position of that signature doesn't matter as long as you have signed the form.

Hey guys,

I've an admit letter from Heilbronn University & waiting for admit letter from TU Darmstadt. I'm planning to choose to study in Darmstadt. But since I don't have an admit letter from them. Can I apply for Student visa showing that I'll be going to Heilbronn and later join Darmstadt. Is this possible & does anyone in the same situation as me?

The problem is that the course at darmstadt starts in Oct and I need to apply for loan for the same. Any suggestions?

It is definitely not advisable as the visa is issued for university as it is a student visa. If you plan to do so, you will find yourself in big mess after reaching Germany. It's better to wait for admit letter of TUD to arrive or you can request for a soft copy of the same.

I have come across some posts where people explained how to change university after getting a visa issued. I'll try to post links once I am in front of a proper laptop. It is possible, but risky anyway. Meanwhile, try searching for the relevant threads.
