Hi,

Is it compulsory to show some kind of proof of learning German while going for Visa Interview?

Like, the courses that i am applying for are completely in English, so will they ask for knowledge of German language in VI? And if so what should be my reply if i have not yet started with learning German but i am planning to learn it when i start my studies in Germany? Or do they expect that i start with learning German before VI or something like that?

Please suggest. Thanks.

You should say the truth. It won't be a problem if you do not know German as your course is in English.

Course being in English, if your university doesn't ask for any German proficiency, then it is not mandatory to show any German proficiency during VI. If they ask you during VI, you should always tell the truth, and you can add that you will take the German courses provided by the university once the semester starts. Since, there is enough time till you fly, you can actually start learning.
