Atheethr :

Hello Atheethr, I want to do my Masters in Mechatronics from german universities. Can you please please provide me the list of universities for this course ? Also since I have work exp in an IT field being a EE engineer, will that hamper my chances of getting an admit from the good universities ?

I had a query regarding RWTH application process. I don't know whether this is a rite place to post apping query..

I have to send a School Leaving Certificate, High School Certificate or equivalent by mail in application packet. So should I send a photocopy or notarized?? My high school is not in my current hometown......

No need to notarize unless they explicitly specify. But my advice is notarize everything.

By notarize, we mean getting a signature "notarized" from a Lawyer. The German meaning of "Notarize" is simply getting it attested by a Govt. approved person. So get it attested from your college principal/Govt hospital doctor/any public servant along with the Govt of India seal, that is enough.

Thanks a lot for clarification JT_daniel

Is it necessary to present TOEFL score with test dated within 12 months of your German visa application??

I found it on edulix this '12 month clause' and on FH Aachen page that they should be within 6 months (for visa)but on german embassy site no such thing is mentioned. My test date is Oct 2010. I am attaching a link to document requirement from German embassy site:http://www.india.diplo.de/contentblob/3137360/Daten/1598144/Student.pdf

It's not necessary, nor was it a problem in the Chennai and Delhi embassies. But they have a tendency to be fickle in this matter, I'd advice you to call up whichever Embassy you are going to apply to and clarify it before going there.

Bharath 007 From your post, I understand that you have just started to look at German universities as a possible choice for your MS studies. Germany, as you know, is a very good country for post-graduation studies.

Now, what I would suggest is search extensively on Edulix and look up http://www.daad.de.

Not active on Edulix anymore! Please tag other seniors for guidance.

All the best!
