Guys - I would like to describe TU Munich's application for Informatics and the interview experience.
https://campus.tum.de/tumonline/webnav.ini - applied through online portal. An essay I had to write as well. Then I mailed the documents to TUM address. I completed this by 19th March(deadline was 30th March). The wait was killing me. Finally, a date of the interview was mailed to me. It was 23rd May. Anxiety crept in. Worried and tensed I was. The interview had qs on the following areas:
1. Motivation, Funding.
1. Data Structures - Sorting, quicksort, complexity, hashing.
2. OOPS
3. Compilers.
4. Microprocessor. - I was ruthlessly murdered here. Brick wallBrick wall
5. DBMS - Got some oxygen to breathe.
6. Mathematics - Basics.
The war ended. I bled a little. The wait turned out to be intolerable as
I had already started the process with Uni. of Bonn Computer Science. June 4th - Evening, I saw the mail which I have dreamt about for long and it was the admission letter from TU Munich(Informatics).
A sense of relief indeed.
Smile

Hi folks,
I am new to this forum and need some help on profile evaluation. I am not sure if German universities take 10th and 12th standard marks into consideration. It still goes like this
10th- 87%
12th- 83%
Under Grad - 72%
and topper score was around 82% (Top 20 in the class)
Did my Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering and Targeting Universities in Germany only
TOEFL : 100
I have a conference paper in cloud computing - (http://dl4.globalstf.org/?wpsc-product=d...computing)

Will Probably get decent LOR.

Working for Naurkri.com in the Technology Division for last 2 years.

I gave GRE (old pattern) in Decemeber 2010 and got very bad score in verbal - 360 only and Quant - 790. Do German universities need GRE score??

Should I give GRE again or this score would work??

--> Below is the list of the universities I would apply to after filtering for this april session:
1. Computer Science and Media • Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (University) • Weimar
2. Master of Science in Computer Science - Specialisation in Information Systems • Cologne University of Applied Sciences • Gummersbach
3. Master's Programme Information Engineering • University of Konstanz • Konstanz
4. Internet Technologies and Information Systems (MSc) • University of Göttingen • Göttingen
5. Master of Science in Information Systems • University of Münster • Münster
6. Master of Information Technology • Kiel University of Applied Sciences • Kiel
7. Informatics (Computer Science) • Technische Universität München (University) • Garching b. München
8. Computer Software/Hardware • University of Stuttgart • Stuttgart
9. Master in Distributed Software Systems • TU Darmstadt (University of Technology)
10. Master of Science in Computer Science • University of Paderborn

Please rate the chances of getting selected in these universities and also please let me know if there are better and more suitable options available for Programming Language and Algorithms.
Thanks in Advance and Looking forward to your inputs.

Please I would like to know what German university would accept a 2nd class upper student for an M.Sc. in Computer Science or an I.T. related masters program that has a strong principle in networking or software and hardware engineering.

B.Sc CWA = (Currently 66.5)
Top rank in class = 66.5

Category of degree
70 - 100 (First class hons)
60 - 69.9 (Second class upper)
50 - 59.9 (Second class lower)
45 - 49.9 (Pass)

Highest passing grade = 100
lowest passing grade = 40

tag like this @["username"] without quotes

not in this thread, create your own thread using steps given in profile evaluation guide given in the index page of edulix & it appears in the main page always just patiently read it completely...
