Im not from mechanical background but I can help you with some general info..
Yes there is no tuition fee, even for international applicants..
The cost of living is not as expensive as u mentioned..Definitely not 50k Rs..AFAIK, it is about 30k Rs per month..So the total living expenses would come to around 6 or 6.5 lakhs..Which I think is reasonable given that the tuition fee is completely waived..To support ur stay at sweden, if u can work part time and try to cover for some part of ur expenses..
I heard chalmers, RIT are very good for materials engineering(if this interests u)..Placements are pretty good as Royal Institute of Technology, Chalmers, Lund, Linkoping etc have pretty good brand value in those parts of Europe..
I hope this info was helpful
All the best

@jinxdeep
The dead line is 15th Jan as indicated by ysrini..You can find the general requirements on studera website..Specific requirements depend on ur course and univ that u wish to apply for..So check the Univ websites for specific entry requirements..Any thing else post on this thread, we'll try to answer your queries..

Hey so finally ....

1. Make a common packet.
2. Make LORS general
3. Make ur SOP specific to the univ
4. Send all the docs mentioned in studera link to the address mentioned there.Very Happy

Makes a lotta sense. As mentioned in that site, they have a pooled in application system for all swedish univs. All the best with ur apps! Very Happy

As far as the living expenses is concerned, it definitely matters on location of university...This is common across the world...
In Sweden for example, Lund university is in a very small town and the living expenses there comes about 15k-20k per month...Defintely Stockholm(KTH) would cost more - around 25k-30k per month...
