Germany more welcoming

On April 27, the German Parliament - Bundestag - passed an Act that will make, now onwards, studying and finding work in Germany easier. The Act Implementing the EU Directive on Entry and Residence of Highly Qualified Workers, as the new law is called, will allow foreign students to 'odd-job' for 120 days annually , compared to 90 days earlier.

Once students have completed their studies, they are then allowed an 18-month window to seek employment , during which they can work an unlimited number of hours or days. This limit was previously 12 months, and students had to have approval from the German Federal Employment Agency (BA) in order to work during that time.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE NEW ACT

Unrestricted access to the job market Work in Germany for 18 months to secure a livelihood Lower income level for granting a permanent settlement permit to highly qualified specialists from 66,000 euro to 48,000 euro

Hi,

I read your post where you were inquiring regarding interview questions for TU Ilmenau. I wish to know if any Letter of Recommendation is needed for TU Ilmenau or not?
I did not see them mentioning about it anywhere on their website and they haven't replied to my mail as well.

Link: http://www.tu-ilmenau.de/ei-ms-csp/application/

Waiting for your kind reply.

Thanks and Regards,

No time is too soon. You can start preparing your application documents (SOP, Transcripts, identifying LOR providers, etc) from now on. However for most German Universities, the application process starts from January onwards. So start choosing your universities and going through their application requirements and timeline.

PS. A tip. Apply early. Always an advantage.

Busy with Masters work ... For urgent queries send me a PM.
